Course content & skill levels:

Beginners: A0 – A1.1
(Previous knowledge: basic knowledge acquired through our online introductory materials required)
Course content:  purchase of tickets, dialogue practice: ordering in a restaurant; shopping; tipping; self-introduction; talking about hobbies, etc. employing simple verbal expression.

Basic I: A1.2 – A2.1
Materials: Schritte 2 – Themen 1 / 2 –Tangram 1b /2a – Passwort 2 / 3)
Course content: purchase of tickets, dialogue practice: ordering in a restaurant; shopping; tipping; self-introduction; talking about hobbies; small talk, complaining; praising, etc.

Basic 2: A2.2 / B1.1 / B1.2
Materials: Schritte 4 / 5 / 6 Themen 2 / 3 Tangram 2 / 3  Passwort 3 / 4 / 5)
Talking about experiences, purchase of tickets; expressing emotions; daily life in Germany; small talk; formal requests and questions; guessing and assuming, etc.

Intermediate: B1 plus / B2.1
Lehrwerke: Aspekte 1 / 2 em Brueckenkurs / Hauptkurs)

Dialogue practice using colloquial language; expanding vocabulary through textual work; common expressions and phrases; discussing city and people.

Notice:

Experience has shown that participants of different skill levels can easily be grouped together for colloquial language training. Participants of higher skill levels can take part in training sessions below their personal language skill. In that case however we have to insist on the fact that we cannot answer language-related questions beyond the particular course level. Such questions can of course be dealt with after class. We thank you for your understanding.

If you are uncertain about which course is appropriate for you, we kindly ask you to take an online level test and to send us the scanned results by email or by fax.
